The people wearing it

The baseball shirt is an everyday garment before it is a match-day one, and the colourways people come back for are the vintage ones rather than the current set. Postseason and ballpark occasions give the season its own shape, and most of the buying happens in ordinary clothes rather than in the stand.

• Audience: traditional baseball fans, retro and vintage style buyers and collectors
• Why people buy it: city and team identity, casual everyday wear and collecting
• When it gets worn: ballpark days, everyday outfits, postseason runs
• Where this range sits: MLB sits between the others: less contested, and worn more as an everyday garment than on match day.

Details that matter when choosing this Colorado Rockies jersey

Start from the Colorado Rockies Replica jersey and the rest of the choice narrows quickly: Colorado Rockies colours, alternate styling, and a cut that works with jeans as easily as with shorts.

The Colorado Rockies jersey is the base piece of the Rockies range: the same alternate colourway, number placement and lettering fans expect, cut in a shape you can wear all day.

Filed under MLB baseball jersey, this sits inside the MLB side of the store, so it is filtered and compared against the rest of the MLB range rather than the general baseball category.

The Rockies vintage jersey buyer is usually buying for a specific occasion rather than browsing, so the useful details here are the fit, the fabric and how the colour looks outside the stadium.

For anyone searching the Kris Bryant jersey, the back carries the Kris Bryant name and number treatment fans recognise, printed straight through the fabric so it stays legible after washing.

Where to wear it

Kickoff, tip-off, first pitch - it does not matter which. This is the shirt that comes out when the Colorado Rockies play.
